SELF-ASSURANCE

People strong in the Self-Assurance theme feel confident in their ability to manage their own lives. They possess an inner compass that gives them confidence that their decisions are right.

I find this theme to be interesting, from a spiritual perspective, in that I do not feel confident in my own ability to manage my life. I do, however, feel confident in God's ability to work through me, and in God's calling on my life. I believe that my inner compass comes from the Holy Spirit working in my life to guide and direct my steps. I also have learned that my highly-intuitive nature, along with the spiritual gift of discernment, does tend to help me to make good decisions (most of the time). Therefore, I do have confidence that the decisions I make will tend to be right. I also have the confidence that comes from Romans 8:28 that, as I seek to love God and fulfill his calling on my life, He will work any less-than-optimal decisions out for the best (although there may be some serious learning experiences in the process).
