The Christian Business Faculty Association (CBFA) exists to assist and encourage Christian business faculty in the study, integration, teaching, and application of Biblical truths in service to the academy, students, and the business community.
The CBFA is the professional organization that has meant the most to me in my professional career. Much of what I have learned about the integration of Biblical faith, learning, and living has been from colleagues in the CBFA or from working on papers and presentations to present at CBFA conferences. I have had the opportunity to serve on the CBFA Board of Directors since 2004, including serving as the Chair of the Board of Directors. After serving a four-year term as an elected director, I was appointed the serve in the role of Secretary; I also serve as the Webmaster.
Our business faculty and staff at Mount Vernon Nazarene University had the opportunity to host the 2011 CBFA conference, and put together one of the finest CBFA conferences ever!
Two of the most significant honors I have received have been from the CBFA. In 2004, I was honored with the Richard C. Chewning Award for Biblical Integration in Business for my “leadership in integrating Biblical principles and business practice.” In 2011, I received the Barnabas Award in recognition of my “service in the spirit of Barnabas” and “contribution to the CBFA’s organizational effectivenes in integrating personal faith and business.”
